Conservative Talk Radio’s Non-Honeymoon For Barack Obama

We ran several posts last week noting how conservative talk radio did not give President Elect Barack Obama the slightest honeymoon after his election — starting right in Wednesday morning with a continuation of the most vitriolic and demonizing parts of the Presidential election campaign. One host even plays Reverend Wright at the beginning of his show.

Be sure to read this Los Angeles Times story which goes into a lot more detail about what I heard last week as I monitored a variety of conservative talk shows. And the L.A. Times doesn’t really include what the local talkers said — which at times was worse.

Rush Limbaugh and his various imitators seem to have always had one primary objective, and that is the creation of a toxic environment wherever the right and left might have a chance to work together. It's disgusting, self-serving and sociopathic. RL's new plan to refer to our economic collapse as "Obama's Recession" is typical. As far as I'm concerned the man is a cancer.

So much for "Respecting the office of President", where's all their respect now? It sounds like a case of ODS (Obama Derangement Syndrome) is already setting in.

"Conservative Talk Radio" has become the best recruitment tool Democrats and Independents have ever had. Keep up your hateful and divisive rhetoric Rush, et al, you help is most appreciated.
