A Clean Sweep for the Democrats

What a depressing day to be a Republican. It appears that Obama’s projected win in Pennsylvania that the Democrats will take the White House, increase the majority in the House, and with Elizabeth Dole projected to lose her seat in the U.S. Senate, the Democrats may reach the filibuster proof threshold of sixty Senators.

personally, i see more angry theatrics for a time… i hope that, when the recovery comes, they let the libertarians in. we'll badly need a loyal opposition – here's wishing for a a future GOP high in intellectual integrity and low in demagoguery!

  3. Did we sweep out my personal fave, Rep Bachmann? Loved her on Hardball!

  4. Before you start calling for Repulbicans to be centrist, you may want to look at how centrist Republicans like Shays (Ct) performed.

Instead of arguing that the Repulbicans should become Democratic-lite, why not argue that the Republicans should become consistent in their message. If the Republicans want to be the small government party, they cannot create new cabinet departments, new entitlements, and spend like crazy.
