Good grief, you're right, and who ever on earth compelled LIbby Dole to take that tack, we may never know. I do kinow that Marilyn Musgrave in Colo, trying for a 4th time win in the House, is known for doing the same kinds of ads re her opponents time and again. The Dole ad looks like it came from the same ad agency/ art director.<br><br>I listened to Liddy Dole's concession speech tonight, PattonGuy. It was sad, I thought; filled with blame about her State being infiltrated by people with money and agendas that caused her to lose... was generally the gist of it.<br><br> I think the concession speech was maybe not the time to try to analyze what went wrong for her... but I imagine it must be hard to be a coveted Senator with all the deference and priviledge that goes with it, that makes ordinary men and women into people who are treated, literally, as royalty .... to suddenly lose all that, including the chance to help your constituents and rub shoulders with the powerful. It's a wonder maybe that more candidates who lose dont do a public 'lamentation' concession speech?
