Avandamet to treat Diabetes, Type 2. This is a great drug for anybody that has gastrointestinal issues when taking metformin. It is a mix of metformin and avandia. For some reason the avandia lessens those side effects. For me the side effects disappeared completely. For my wife the side effects were only lessened.

[...] to note that McCain faults both Obama, and indirectly Pollan, for their ignorance of how Big Ag really works. No paradigm shift in view [...]

Anyone who has listened to NPR or network programming for any time, or interviews with or appearances by politicians, or interviews with celebrities or with typically dippy people "on the street" knows what the last sentence above is about.

Actually, McCain has stated he would reduce (if not eliminate) ethanol (corn) subsidies and end sugar tariffs (which make high-fructose corn syrup competitive in the marketplace).

As to the obscession shown by too many with obesity (to the point of narcissism as well as nanny-state social engineering), global warming (to the point of idiocy), and farm policy, the correct thing to do with farming is to end federal intervention in it, obviously not to substitute politically correct social-engineering-and-environmentalist-idiot-overkill objectives in place of the stupid system we have now. Simply end the stupid system we have now.

And I can write (and say) all the foregoing without stupidly interjecting "I mean" or "so" or "like" or "uh" or "um" as some do. [sigh]
