They have nothing to offer the poor and middle class but wedge issues and dumbed down appeals to their patriotism. They know they can't really make their lives better so they scare the pants off them by proclaiming their opponent a Marxist, terrorist-sympathizer, tax-and-spend liberal, Big Government proponent, baby killer who wants to take their guns away, softie on national security who will turn America into a second rate nation, etc etc Republican economic policies of tax cuts and trickle-downs favor the wealthy elites. Playing this dumbed down game of posturing without any good sense backing it up is making us look like like over-muscled idiots. In otherwords, it's' time for America to grow up and start thinking seriously about realizing it's potential not only for itself, but as a responsible member of the world community.
