I think the biggest problem for Saturday Night Live is their hour and a half format. Sure, they're firing on all cylinders for their political pieces now and maybe a segment or two, including parts of Weekend Update, but the rest of the show tends to stink. It's hard to sit through that much stink just for a single good political piece and maybe an extra laugh or two during Weekend Update.
