I seriously doubt that anyone in Repulbican power circles is the least bit interested in demographics or how they are changing in the U.S. I guess bumper stikcer thoughts like "Hispanics go to church so they must be conservatives" is what passes for analysis to Mr. Nuzzo. Unfortunately for her fans, the very qualities that appeal to them most are seen as liabilities by just about everyone else. In order for the republican party to regain power and credibility they will need to unify, not in some contrived makeover, but around genuine people and values. Choosing Sarah Palin as a future standard bearer would be seen by the majority of Americans as evidence the "conservatives" have learned very little from the last eight years. If they want to continue being the party of division, then Palin is exactly the right choice.
