Well, it is not a 'minority view', it is something that both campaigns have aknowledged. And historically, candidates internal polls (not the ones they push on to the gullible press) tend to be much more accurate than the polls used by most news organizations.

The proof of that is that those polls are what is used by campaigns to determine the spending and strategies to be used going forward. Nothing says more about what a campaign believes as to how and where they spend their dollars.
