I would be much more impressed by his endorsement, and much more willing to give him the 'Country First' moniker, if he had come out for Obama earlier.
I am not impressed by his waiting until the last minute and when the general perception is that Obama has an insurmountable lead (not saying it is true, but that is the perception).
I guess it is part of the 'Powell Doctrine', no action unless you already know you have won, but still not a very courageous announcement.
