Timr it could be hilarious-- they could have V.P Palin in Saks or Neiman Marcus trying on power suits and missing key votes in the Senate or failing to take calls from President McCain because she's in line to pay for her selections.

Myself, I am really looking forward to Sat. nite to see what Tina Fey will do with the $150,000 wardrobe buy. SNL might well be the determining factor in why even the Rs are saying that Palin was a very bad decision by McCain.
Isn't it amazing that it takes the comics, from Letterman to Jon Stewart and Steven Colbert on TDS and The Colbert Report to ask the serious questions and point out the lies of the candidates, rather than those highly paid "reporters" from the village(MSM) who will not only not ask the hard questions but will never ask any followups dispite the fact that the candidates bob and weave and refuse to answer the question. What about Palin? Why have the Rs refused to let her have a real press conference? Why do they only allow her off the leash in a controlled setting and even then only with a very sympathetic reporter. What are they hiding? I think that pretty much everybody knows that she is a very incurious person(like gwb) and that she is pretty much a total airhead.

"...the candidates had come to the realization that “they are losing” the campaign, and guessed that McCain may have begun to hold his vice presidential choice responsible for his dwindling White House chances."

Wait a minute... McCain said in the past that he could live with his mistakes... Besides, as far as blaming Palin... that's ridiculous: McCain had "fully vetted" her and knew exactly what he was getting in a running mate. The decision to put Palin on the ticket was his and I didn't see Palin holding a gun to his head (maybe she was in a helicopter if she did it?). I doubt that Palin in her wildest dreams thought that she would be on his VP list, much less his short list. She didn't go after McCain, he went after her.

It's McCain's (rash) decision.

Todd is correct- its almost as though they are running on different platforms. I wonder if Mac is regretting his choice, and wishes he had asked Kay Hutchinson- who at least is well-respected and knowledgable.
