Well, if any of these people (Coulter included) vote twice in two states in the same election, they should be taken down for a long chat with the sheriff. I was more questioning whether or not you could stop somebody from moving to Ohio and voting their by proving they never "intended" to stay.

-that would make sense if those people who volunteered for the campaign had to establish temporary residence. I don't think they should be able to file absentee ballots- that's just stuffing the ballot box and is a felony.

A recap from Harpers about Coulter/Rove/ DOJ skullduggery

http://harpers.org/archive/2007/05/hbc-90000051

The number is 30 days, so that is the standard. Lots of GOTV efforts require those who assist with the registration process to be eligible to vote in the state. So they were technically working and had been in Ohio 30 days. As long as they aren't also sending an absentee ballot to a former address, no foul committed.

You could ask the same of Ann Coulter, who has a home in Fla and NY- and apparently voted twice. She voted in Fla as an absentee. Works both ways, yah?
