After all, McCain's got the same technologies available to him that Obama does (and so does everyone else in the nation), but he's raising no where near the same amount of money, and not just because he's limited to a certain amount. If all major candidates in the future can raise Obama money, then, yes, this version of public funding is dead. However, it's not clear that just anyone can.
