The Justice Department has a Civil Rights Office and an office to ensure voting rights. Why wouldn't Senator Obama want them to investigate ACORN instead of a special prosecutor. Because the special prosecutor will be a partisan Democrats whose mission will be to not find anything wrong.

A speical prosecutor is a way for politicians to wash their hands of responsbility. It is an abdication of responsbility. Why not have people who are answerable to Obama to the investigation and then have Obama's Attorney General go on television and explain what he found.

The left is great at using the courts to do the dirty work. See forced busing, see robin hood school financing laws, see gay marriage. The only thing a leftist activst needs to do is find a friendly judge. The judge makes a ruling in favor of a policy proposal that the left wants and then all of the Democrats politicians say, Oh Well, the courts have ruled and we must obey."

No city council, no state government ever voted for forced busing. Yet, the U.S. ended up with it anyway.

In the future, no Democrats will ever vote for rules that make voter fraud very easy. They will depended upon special prosecutors to look the other way and for judges to strike down any law that will limit voter fraud.

I guess having every demographic trend is not enough for the new generation of Democratis. They have to create ways for people to vote outside of their districts and states to affect those few competative elections.

The hell? What other suggestion do you have for resolving legal controversies other than using the judicial/legal system? A duel? Trial by fire? And how is an investigation done by the "Obama Justice Department" after the fact not legal/judicial? And why would the usage of a special prosecutor be sub-optimal compared to an investigation done by Obama's justice department (of whom a special prosecutor would be a part)?

Superdestroyer -- increasing the stock of aspirin manufacturers since however long he started commenting on blogs.

I guess that everyone is seeing what leadership will look like in an Obama Administraiton. Push as many issues into the judifical system and try to duck responsbility.

Instead of a special prosecutor, how about the Obama Justice Department do the investigations so that the voters will know who to hold responsbile.

How difficult would it be for a radical conservative to get hired by Acorn and go out and register voters? How difficult would it be to forge or create false names to make the Acorn group look bad and for the republicans to get something to complain about? Isn't registering voters a good thing?
