The GOP election machine disgusts me. They are a diseased party in need of a long hard look at how they do business and what they really stand for these days.
A few weeks ago I commented on TMV that I wondered what McCain would do once his poll numbers dipped below 40%… he has in some polls now. And we see what tactics the GOP, with McCain as their leader, is willing to do.
I don't know whether to be angry or dad that a ot of people in this country will stoop to these levels. Obama's Democratic opponents in the primary and now the GOP and McCain have spent millions of dollars desperately trying to find links between Obama and terrorists. They have not been able to over these last two years or so. And the links that they have found all require a leap of the imagination. If there was anything solid on Obama's terrorist connections and I thought Obama might be a Manchurian candidate, I would vote for a different candidate. The fact that Obama choose to go into public service after college and then continue in public service, rather than accept a high paying job at a prestigious law firm tells me that Obama does love the USA.
And of course all McCain can say in defense is that Obama is more negative than he is….
They haven't spent millions to find a connection, but to generate one in the minds of voters. They know there is no actual connection, but with a middle name of Hussein and a last name that rhymes with Osama, our nations 2 biggest boogeymen for the last 10 years, its almost too good to pass up if you are a slimeball political operative.
The GOP needs to have the gangrenous tissue cauterized. In labelling Obama as a Terrorist, the GOP is labelling millions of Americans the same way by their Name Games. They are the true terrorists, instilling fear and suspicion into hearts and minds.
I'd like to say I'm surprised and shocked they'd stoop this low… but I can't.

Slamfu said it best, the GOP is a diseased party. They need to be quarantined.
