Inflammatory GOP Robocall Contradicts McCain On Ayers Last Night

The McCain campaign continues its descent into the kind of politics that is now surpassing in sleaziness what Karl Rove & Co. did to McCain in South Carolina in 2000. The Politico:

A harsh new robocall — at least the third in a series — attacks Obama for having “worked closely with domestic terrorist Bill Ayers” whose group “killed Americans.”

Robocalls are a relatively inexpensive way to deliver a negative message, and used to be seen as an under-the-radar way to do it, though that’s no longer really true. The ad comes just hours after McCain dismissed the issue: “I don’t care about an old, washed-up terrorist,” he said.

What more can be said?

Sleazy tactics. Doesn't Obama have enough of a hurdle running for POTUS as a muslim?

Disgusting and shameful tactics. As Slamfu observed in another post, the GOP is a diseased party. I feel sorry for the traditional republicans who have genuine values and are having their company kept with the likes of all these neo-republican goons. No wonder they are losing..

This post highlights the use of race-based dog whistle politics. And there are so many examples of this!

We're tracking political race baiting at http://www.stopdogwhistleracism.com. We find the good, bad and ugly about race in the race. Visit us today for a non-partisan take on the race card, and the race card card, in today's politics.

Hope to see you at StopDog!

The GOP reaches new lows every election cycle. Thank God there are only 22 more days or no telling what the little Rove clones would come up with.

Rather than educate the public on McCain's policies, they prey on people's fears, ignorance and prejudices.

And McCain was hurt because Lewis compared him to a segregationist?

ok I may catch heat for this analogy but Bush/Rove=Nazi War Machine as McCain=France

he rolled like a Croissant for some white house biscuits.

The Vietnam war was a horrible experience, especially for John McCain. But, please, let Senator McCain know that he should stop fighting it now. If he wishes to waste his time debating that war with William Ayers, he is not serving our country.
