Until Obama is actually sworn in as president, I'm not prepared to make any predictions or assumptions. The GOP is not going to roll over and give up, and trust me on this; they have not run out of tactics yet. Two and half weeks is enough time to shift the balance, particularly when the Bradley effect is taken into account. All I'm saying is this: The Obama campaign can't afford to coast, not even in November.

There's a six point spread, according to the CNN “poll of polls” for Oct. 16. The gap is shrinking. Expect a late October “surprise” from the McCain camp, timed to close this gap leading up to election day. It'll be a late night on November 4!
