Have The REALLY ROUGH Games Now Begun?

Have the real dirty tricks begun? Read THIS.

No matter. Even with the denial, it’ll become a raging subject on some Web sites that will dismiss the denial, and on talk radio which will present it as fact. Which would be exactly the intent. Then there’s common sense: Why would the Democrats give the GOP such a gift?

It seems…this…

UPDATE: Meanwhile, on the subject of negative campaigning and demonization there is THIS.

Maybe I'm missing something, but what exactly is so scandalous about the quote, even if she said it?

I would like to know if this is real.

ps she doesn't sound like a liar but who knows nowadays.

Somehow I doubt these things will work in this climate. They are sheer acts of desperation and everybody sees through it. Those who don't are lost to the GOP for good.

Joe--That is mild compared to this lovely new tactic: (from Think Progress)

"Yesterday, the Sacramento County Republican party removed from their website images that likened Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) to Osama bin Laden. One of the images “encouraged people to ‘Waterboard Barack Obama’”:"

"The chairman of the Sacramento County Republican party, Craig MacGlashan, told the Sacramento Bee on Tuesday, “Some people find it offensive, others do not. I cannot comment on how people interpret things."

What kind of human being wouldn't find that offensive????? They are pushing the envelope-- putting up things that they know cross the line then pretending that they had no idea anyone would get upset. And John McCain has to take the blame for it. Its his campaign and his party.

I think this mostly demonstrates how gullible a lot of conservative/ right-wing bloggers are these days. The API interview was *obviously* a hoax to anyone with half a brain and a functioning BS detector. Yet a lot of the usual suspects fell for it.

I keep hoping that the blogosphere will get smarter as time passes and people realize that something isn't true just because it's on the Internet. But it appears that's not always the case. In particular, when your side is projected to lose the election, a lot of people take leave of their senses and embrace *anything* that validates their feelings about themselves, their candidate, or the opposition.

    A dirty trick?

Well, OK, if you mean a dirty trick played on highly gullible wing nut bloggers!
  • DLS
They aren't gullible. That's the province of libs-n-Dems. They're desperate and angry. Bitter, even, at not only the McCain choice this year by default but by his likely loss.
  • kritt11
Come on, DLS- How is being bitter a good excuse for what the right wing has been pulling? How can the head of the GOP in Sacramento urge people to waterboard Obama and get away with it? The right wing is inciting violence- pure and simple. If Obama does win-- they'll be there to make sure the country is never united.
  • GeorgeSorwell
E-mails about Obama being a Muslim have been in circulation for over a year.

This is, as with so much Republican activity, just more of the same.

i'm with Elyas here. What am I missing? Where's the controversy? Is it a fringe group or a terror group or something?
