I'm not very well-off financially but I have been supporting Andrew Rice monetarily as much as possible and attending events. This has been an enriching and, I have to admit, fun period of time. My granddaughter got to ride on Rice's float in one of the parade events and I feel that's been a good experience for her as well. I have to admit that we had extremely high hopes for Andrew's campaign against Inhofe and that those hopes may not be realized at the polls. However, Andrew is now ready to fight and win in other elections. He has become a good debater and is now fluent on the issues that affect us all. His next run for office, I hope and pray, will be a success! His supporters are still behind him all the way and he has a good following here in the dripping-red state of Oklahoma!

Mr. Satterfield is absolutely correct. Senator Inhofe's conclusions show a definite disconnect with reality. Even with the unknowns in the global climate change equation, to completely deny its existence does not reflect a rational mind. And, we would hope the representatives who are making national decisions and initiating national legislation would exhibit mature foresight, and make prudent/conservative decisions based on the worst possibilities. In addition, any action taken by Senator Inhofe to reduce the national carbon footprint would also, undoubtedly, mitigate our reliance on foreign oil, a national security issue even Senator Inhofe cannot bury his head in the sand about.

A couple of decades ago when I lived in Oklahoma Inhofe actually seemed like a fairly rational Republican mayor of Tulsa. Nowadays I think he's an utter loon. I am not exaggerating. Just look at his statements concerning global warming. He apparently truly believes it is a giant conspiracy and hoax. He thinks that thousands of scientists all got together and decided to agree to a fraud on the world. Yet the people of Oklahoma will probably return him to the Senate with a comfortable margin.
