Web Kidz Don’t Stop Believing

UPDATE: Apparently they’ve thought better of it and have locked up the video. Too bad. It was a great video. Even if at an inopportune time… If it turns up again I’ll repost.

Young Internet stars sit out the crash in Cyprus:

Haven’t yet decided whether this video — twenty or so twenty-somethings lip-synching to Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believin” on their precious week off in Cyprus — is a shining example of the awesome Web 2.0 world we live and work in, or a cry for help. But it’s amusing either way. Someone want to send these kids a couple board games or some Excel files to crunch?

The video is titled “20 world Internet citizens met in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in October of 2008 for a week of reflections on life, love, and the Internet.”

It includes Blip.tv’s Mike Hudack, Facebook’s Dave Morin, his Google girlfriend Brittany Bohnet, Facebook product design lead/former Master developer Aaron Sittig, Drop.io’s Sam Lessin,  Apple producer/designer Jessica Bigarel, and Jessica Vascellaro of The Wall Street Journal.

Via Kara Swisher, “Um, kids, here’s a reflection: While you swim in that pricey infinity pool in your luxury villa, Silicon Valley is tanking all over the place.”
