On the Air for the Next Debate (And Live Chat!)

microphone.jpg Today (at a special time of 1:30 pm eastern, 10:30 am pacific) we’ll be taking to the air once again for some pre-debate analysis on Mid Stream Radio where my partner Cindy and I will be joined by Ed Morrissey to answer the question of whether or not this election is really over, or what – if anything – John McCain can do tonight to reverse his fortunes.

Shortly after that, at 3 pm eastern, I’ll be moderating a live chat during Ed’s show at Hot Air. (Follow that link for the show and chat.) Once the show is done, we’ll keep that live chat open for users right up through tonight’s Presidential debate, where you can join a throng of other viewers to discuss it as it unfolds. (Post has been updated with the specific link.)

Be sure to join us for either, if not both, and witness the great engine of democracy march onward. (Or possibly stall out and stutter to a halt.)

You should also ask whether the Democrats will get 60 seats in the Senate and the last part of the discussion should be what can the Repubicans do to make a comeback after two election cycles of failure or what the Republicans can do to stop the slide to becoming irrelevant.

I'd like to see Obama talk about nitty-gritty specifics he has to steer our economy back. I think he should be bold and fearless addressing knowledgeably the underlying issues of the economic backslide.

Other than that he should just fend off McCain's angry outbursts (maybe even elicit a few of them? lol..) and encourage McCain to look as evil as he possibly can. Each time Obama is tempted to engage with new McCain evil (for he will be invited many time during the debate to get off the issue of the economy and onto tabloidism), he should dismiss McCain with a wave of his hand and accuse him flatly of wanting to evade discussion of the economy. He should even say, “you're afraid to discuss the economy” without allowing McCain to retort.

That will sink in deep in the viewer's mind.

I'll try to sneak that one in, SD
