Normally, I would think the McCain campaign was laying a trap. But given how truly reckless and clumbsy his campaign has been, it's not surprising that they couldn't resist disclosing this tactic. And to say that they are going to start after the debate on Tuesday was doubly stupid. I know Palin got started early, but still.

People are getting so tired of the unfounded, distorted, lies by
Mccain/palin.
This is all they have to campaign on and insult the intelligence
of the American voters.

No question about it, this is a very smart move from Obama: preemptive attack using McCain campaign's expressed desire “to turn the page” (a HUGE mistake!) and couple it with talking about health care, the economy and pocket-book issues. Obama should also keep hammering the McBush connection repeatedly. It's critical that Obama keeps running such ads 'continuously' nationwide (particularly in toss up states). I'm confident that McCain's negative strategy will backfire. He will be forced to address his economic plan (a tall order) and differentiate it from Bush's (another tall order)!
