I thought Palin was the more shallow of the two and the one who resorted to the same sound bites more than once, as did McCain against Obama in Prez Debate 1.

I think people are looking at this the wrong way.... as was pointed out newspapers write at a sixth-grade reading level, allowing the widest possible audience to comprehend the articles. Speaking at a lower level in a national debate is what we want. Also in a debate a candidate has a brief period of time to get across multiple ideas.

The people who did this study looked at very superficial criteria including the number of letters in a word, number of words in a sentence, number of sentences in a paragraph.

I think what SHOULD BE graded are the concepts, thinking and logic each candidate used.

All this particular study tells me is that Biden is more skillful (in this particular aspect) than Palin since he was able to speak to a larger audience.

Well, to be fair, they were shooting at a target audience......*sigh*

The thing is that Biden dumbed it way down to reach that level. On the other hand it looked like Palin was straining to reach the 10th grade; an important distinction to remember. Clearly between the two it is easy to tell which one had their brain frozen at a given age, where the other went on to expand it in the school of hard knocks as time went on.

We know of another frozen-brain politician. His name is George Dubya Bush. We really don't need another four years of myopic, quasi-intellectual (being generous here in Dubya's case..lol..), psuedo-christian, self-involved narcisissm, do we?

Have you ever met girls who run for beauty pageants? *shudder*... They're as spoiled and indulged as sons of roman emperors, ex-presidents and high-ranking military men..Some of the worst leaders in human history have been indulged narcissists..

I have no idea of the actual indpendence of the organization you listed, but what I heard thruout the debate was Palin talking like she was in a PTA meeting attended by 3rd graders.”Here is a shoutout to the 3rd graders………”. Shoutout? You betcha??? Her stating that she was going to outright refuse to answer questions from Iffel that she did not want to answer, her totally ignoring questions to simply regurgitate republician talking points and even then being unable to speak in coherent sentences makes me wonder about this “independent” organization. The clear “winner” of this so called debate-what would Palin have done if followup questions had been allowed, hmmm-was Biden(and most of the MSM and polls seem to agree) I would also note that Palin was unaware that McCain had stopped all operations in Michigan until she “read it in the paper” on Fri. This brings up the question; Is Palin in the loop? She is being kept sequestered(one would think that the McCain people actually think that she did not win the debate) and will not answer any questions from the press at all. Will the MSM roll over or will they get so loud that Palin will have to have a presser?
