dear T_Steel, had the same reaction as you 13 years ago. . . but for me the"they" was the disowned part of OJ's character that somehow mixes exhibitionalism with pathology such as . . .(if i would of done it, this is how. . . )

when this last "puffed OJ flub" . . . wondered if he could get a fair trial this time because of all that happened last time??? . . .but in honestly when i heard the verdict this morning. . .thought of the Browns and the Goldmans and was part of that collective sigh of relief. . . then checked myself. . .with wonder of the fairness. . .then let it go with an acknowledgment. . .concerning OJ. . .maybe there is a spot of mold on my soul. . .and perhaps once every 13 years two wrongs does make a right. . .

agree with you all of it is sad. . . but am not for sure it is over. . .this "Bluebeard" may have more . . .the "Joker is Wild" yet to come. . .

I remember being in a barber shop when O.J. Simpson was acquitted 13 years ago. The majority black barber shop cheered (as the media showed across the country). I never forgot what my barber said:

Guilty or not. White folks just got stung!

I really didn't watch the "Trial of the Century" and didn't react much. All I was thinking at the time was that O.J. was a marked man and "they" will lock him up one day. Will here we are. O.J. Simpson is guilty of being a common, brutish thug and there are no massive cheers and no massive jeers. Just a verdict and sentencing (and the Goldmans and Browns collective sigh of relief).

The whole saga is just sad...
