Fight the Wall Street Bailout

This bailout is nothing but bad news. There is no real crisis, the market sell of is a result of fear mongering by President Bush

The bill allows for foreign banks to dump all of their bad assets into American banks, who can in turn sell the debt to the treasury.

THE AMERICAN PEOPLE SHOULD NOT BE PUT ON THE HOOK FOR WALL STREET, AND ESPECIALLY NOT FOR COMMUNIST NATIONS LIKE CHINA!

If Sen. McCain had stayed away, the bill still would have failed. At that point, he would have been criticized for not having done what he could to help it pass.

Interesting that the SF Chron omits mention of Pelosi's Dem fund-raiser speech to the House just before the vote. She proved why she & Harry are very much of the problem that causes Congress to have a 10% approval rating, soon to drop to a low single digit.

The Dem Chairmen of six Cong Committees voted “no,” as did 23 Dems in very-contested districts. Guess Pelosi's little mousetrap only caught cheese.

Sensationalism about the economy is childish and irresponsible.

The bailout was and is wrong. The bailout bill was a bad one, and something better obviously needs to be substituted, if there is to be a bailout. Ignore the blame game and look _forward_ to what will be or what readers believe will be, or what they feel should be, voted on next time.
