It's similar to the shocked reaction to the 1994 election results. The people's reaction to outrages in both cases, then and now, is obvious to all but the oblivious elites who keep mainly to themselves in their own separate environment. [yawn] Not taxpayer revenge, taxpayer outrage and resistance.

What's remarkable and revealing is the shocked reaction to the bill's failure to be passed, in Washington and New York. It's similar to the shocked reaction to the 1994 election results.
