Well, I for one, am glad that Obama is not leading the charge on the current bailout plan, since I think it's flawed. I do wish he would offer up a more attractive alternative.

I'm sure the republicans would call him pretentious or something if he did though...

Conclusion: Obama isn't a god, but next to McCain he looks like a vastly more presidential.

I'm just saying that I think its a fair question to ask. He's campaigned on the idea of bringing people together–I want to know what he's doing to do that. I've given up on McCain quite awhile ago, and Palin has done her best to really scare me away, but that doesn't mean I can't ask questions about Obama.

I agree. But at the same time, what exactly has Obama contributed? Is his presence there helping or hurting?

Obama didn't imply, like McCain, that nothing could get done in Washington without his help.

I agree. But at the same time, what exactly has Obama contributed? Is his presence there helping or hurting?

And as far as this coverage being 'lousy'. Would you also say the same if CNN portrayed McCain as “cool” or “above the fray”?
