This is my first time on this site today and silly me…it's called the Moderate voice and all I read from the Comments is the Righty and Lefty talk. I for one AM voting for McCain, but the author of the article has a point. It IS his job and he's been absent so many times. I understand to an extent why he called a press conference…he wanted to public to hear from him that he's canceling appearances. However, I would like him to use this time to let Gov. Palin speak!

Can't I go anywhere and NOT hear this Right and Left bashing? I'm sick of it. Both sides are really Pi**ing me off. I would prefer to hear what the candidates views on the issues and have them both stop bashing one another so fiercely. I didn't even make up my mind until a couple weeks ago on who I was voting for! and it solely came down to personal views on a few topics. Not who was Blue or Red or Black or Old. Okay, I've gone off enough. I'm sorry. I have a major issue with the state of our politics.

Of course there's a need for a press conference Elyas! McCain knows that Obama OWNS the economy issue in the minds of a majority of Americans, and that the economy has just become the number one election issue. If he's not able to try to steal some of Obama's thunder, he's toast.

As for DLS, he just seems to subscribe to the standard, substandard Rightie philosophy – “If you can't beat 'em, belittle 'em”.

DLS, I didn't make those stats up. He has voluntarily missed many important votes in the past few months, and he can't suddenly pretend like that never happened and he's all about “putting country first.” He's basically going to Washington to do his job. There's no need to call a press conference and suspend anything for that.

You know, I was wondering just the other day what the attendance records were for Obama and McCain and even my own State's Senators. Thanks for the link so now I do know how well my Senator has done on attendance.
