Who are the individuals that have piloted these financial institutions into bankruptcy? How can government loans be given to institutions with the same leadership that wrecked our financial health? How can the same governmental financial leadership continue to pilot our financial well-being? How can we keep the same greed at the wheel?

We get information on the individuals who piloted the destruction of 9/11? Where is the informatin on the people who have more capably brought our nation to the brink?

OK, so I'm probably not the only one to stumble across this, but look at what happens in India when the rich get out of control:

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/asi...

It doesn’t do any good to cite facts, perception is reality in elections.

I’m generally suspicious of most public opinion polling too, but, taking it for what it is, even though Republicans are taking the blame for the economy it’s hard to imagine democrats turning it over to someone they view as “lazy”, “irresponsible”,” complaining” and “violent”.

http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D93AIV8...

Republicans will vote for McCain/Palin on ideological grounds. Without the 25% racist democrat vote, Obama doesn’t have a chance.

Share what, more childishness and lack of English competence as well as self-control?

No, thanks.

So many Democrats are to blame (not only in the 1990s, but back as far as the 1970s), and they have their hands filthy over this financial blowup. But too many idiots are unwilling to do mental work (or cannot do it) and will just believe the typical nonsense we get from all the howlers -- or imagine harder than ever in a stampede from McCain to Obama (imagination in place of understanding).

Is it likely that even the smarter people (not the playpen lefties) blame the GOP more? Of course. Deregulation is great and should still be pursued, but it doesn't mean the result should be corruption as well as exploitation of what amounts to an "honor system" largely of self-policing.

No, the big institutions shouldn't have the federal government take the bad debts off their hands. (Nor should the federal government descend truly lower into the sewer and willfully reduce or annul debt just to buy the votes of so many who were after a free lunch, real-estate-wise.) In a better world the regulation would be redone but the big institutions would not face moral hazard -- they would be left alone, and if destined to fail, then so be it. The federal government could always act later rather than (reminescent of global-warming idiots) now, Now, NOW! We cannot act too soon! B.S.. Let 'em fail, then probe 'em for fraud, while foreclosing on homes (and evicting the residents) whose mortgages have defaulted. It's not difficult at all.
