The next administration will be so hobbled by the legacy of the previous administration, the progress we in such deep need of is going to be put on hold, perhaps indefinitely. Our nation is flunking the great IQ test. Sure, playing the blame game won&#039;t cure our ills (if indeed they can be cured in my lifetime),  but neither will ignoring (or revising) history. And history will remember which party did the most to torpedo progress on the environment, rational foreign relations, national healthcare, the economy, scientific progress, and a host of other issues that would bridge the gap between a short sighted status quo and a healthy society that moves into the future with it&#039;s eyes wide open and it&#039;s brains engaged. I repeat, this is tragic.</description>
