McCain's comments make him appear out of touch with the economic woes of real Americans at the worst possible time. I would give him the same advice he gave Sen Obama after refusing to take back that ridiculous “lipstick on a pig” accusation: “He needs to be very careful about what he says.”

I agree. McCain's original gaffe on Monday might go down as one of the worst in modern political history. He's saying so many different things now it's almost like babbling.

Well, there is quite a list of republican whistleblowers and straight talkers who have been thrown under the bus for daring to depart from lockstep and speak facts that aren't flattering to the GOP. Fiorina is just the latest whose greatest sin is answering a question with the truth. As for Gramm? I'm sure he's still a part of this campaign; he's just lurking around the edges where he's harder to see.
