A unique talent who left a fine legacy of music. I saw them in 71 after Meddle was released, and again in 75 after Dark Side of the Moon was released. Wonderful concerts both – quite beyond my powers of description. RIP Richard…
What a shame. Roger and David got most the attention, but especially on their older music, he was a major part of their sound.

had a friend turn me on to 70s Floyd — Dark Side of the Moon, Animals, Wish You Were Here — in the 80s, when all the popular music was crap.
