I am not a huge Hannity fan. I don't appreciate the namecalling and inuendos he represents along with the relentless talking points he can't let go of. He does give an alternative view that isn't represented through our current media outlets. Being an independent, it is crucial for me to be able to see the whole picture. I don't believe painting OBAMA as a saint all the time and PALIN as an evil person with skeletons in the closet isn't fair and balanced. The Hannities of the media world do have relevant facts that I do check out and appreciate being able to see where that side of politics is coming from.

Last point…..isn't the election between McCain and Obama??? Not Palin and Obama.

Man, I hate that phrase, but such a moment actually could help her. Palin's record actually seems quite complicated ideologically. She seems to be very conservative philosophically, but has a certain pragmatic or libertarian streak when making decisions that makes it difficult to give a simple caricature of her.

Recall the radio interview in Alaska where the shock-jock called Palin's rival a “cancer” and a “bitch” and Sarah Palin openly giggled in the microphone.

If Palin comes across endorsing the most low-blow attacks from Sean Hannity, she will open herself up to major criticism.

Palin must be very careful to stand off from Hannity and be willing to distance herself from him.

I was getting a chuckle out of your proposed questions that Hannity might pose to Palin, until I realized that Hannity's real questions, sadlly, will be very similar–or at least in a very similar vein.

Here's one that Hannity is sure to ask:

Governor, we have all been tremendously impressed by your knowledge of and insight into Russian history, poltics and policy. You mentioned that most of that knowledge came from staring across the straits during the long winter months and catching a glimpse of Russia on a moon-lit night. Now, because of your modesty , I know you have been reluctant to claim this, but let me do it for you. On your way to and from Kuwait you flew over many countries, possibly even including “Africa,” and even continents. You must have come to intimately know all those countries, their leaders and their policies during your overflight. Can't wait to see you in Washington applying all that foreign relations and policy experience in support of the Bush Doctrine–one that you also know so well..
