A Call for McCain to Come Clean

He has been hiding in the shadows long enough and, if he accepts the nomination, John McCain must fill in the blanks of an unexamined life for the American people.

Once and for all, he must tell us whether or not he wore a uniform and for how long? What about those rumors that he flew a plane, was shot down and incarcerated in some kind of foreign detention facility?

Reticence is an admirable virtue, but this strong-silent-man stuff deprives voters of a window into his soul. Is he really the mild-mannered man we have been led to believe or does he occasionally lose control and speak above an amiable whisper?

    This post is Hillarious.

McCain hiding in the shadows? What planet are you from? He has been on TV more than just about any Congressman ever over the years, if you haven't been paying attention, thats your own fault. I guess you were too busy hiding in your own shadow to notice.

Sarcasm is such a tricky voice to use by anyone, as the above comment shows.

I wish Senator McCain hadn't just meant the Straight Talk Express as a ploy. He is now short on straight answers, not to the questions raised so snarkily here, but on why he distorts his opponents' record and positions just so he can be elected, among other points. I presume Senator McCain sees his election as vital to our future. So do his opponents about their being elected. I hope American voters pick whoever is right about that, if either. If neither is vital, well then we can just vote for whomever we like then, right?

Now if only the candidates and the press would be more useful to this process instead of being so partisan, commercial, or humorous, I'd feel better about just voting my fancy. As it is I feel almost on my own figuring out if I should be more concerned than I am amidst all the fearmongering, hatemongering, and stupidity.

I wish it were November 4 today. I don't think anything will get better before then.

Stein is scraping the barrel. Palin's great speech has 'em all upset, I guess.

Leon and DLS, you guys completely didn't GET Stein's piece. This isn't the first time I've wondered how often we get kneejerk responses by people who imagine they know what's written without having actually read it.

  5. DLS says:

There have been so many idiotic remarks by the lefties lately that this poor humor that started this thread resembles many things (often vicious) being said seriously by others. There is no knee[-]jerk reaction coming from me, as opposed to the reaction to what I wrote, by you, here.

Sorry dude, there is no excuse for responding to a post without reading it. Your bad.

There are two tags included for this post: satire, humor. Just as if I were to read a similar article on Biden, Obama, Bush, or Clinton… they're meant to be taken lightly, so I judge them through that lens. Not everything in politics has to be serious (thankfully… otherwise we'd all be Gore or Dole).

DLS< like most dogmatics can't recognize satire/sarcasm based humor. that's the beauty of it. If it doesn't have a truck stop punchline they scratch their heads. Brilliant!
    Moliere would be proud.
