Seemed ad-libbed too. She seems to have settled in after that, the speech seemed a lot more comfortable after that.

That was a good line. The rest has been workmanlike. She does the mocking thing OK. But she is very generic when she advances her agenda.

about the same level of civility too, it seems.

i'm listening to this speech and all i can think is “man, what a jerk”. regardless of policy, the convention of the party of jesus is just full of mean spirited, immature negative sputum.

i'm glad mccain promised to keep it classy. maybe that's why he picked up palin. since she apparently has none, she can be the pig.

Actually, that's apparently one of her standard lines. She told it to McCain during their sit-down last week.

One detail she mentioned I took notice of was the cost of the NG pipeline they want to build up there: $40 billion. Yowza. In comparison, according to this article, an entire national transmission superhighway, capable of tying together wind, solar, nuclear, and all other sources of power with all the load centers in the nation, would cost $60 billion.

    That cracked me up.
