Of course the republican convention is going to work hard to ignore Iraq. They have little to brag about, and their policies there have caused much unnecessary expense and suffering. I'm sure they are looking forward to passing that particular baton to the democrats in November, that way they can start their absolving of responsibility all over again.

SD,<br>Obama repeated his calls for a timely withdrawal from Iraq. You probably remember, it was the same plan that Maliki endorsed.

Of course the Democratic convention worked hard to ignore Iraq and I must have missed the TMV posting on it. Maybe Senator Obama between proposing 15 new jobs or mandatory volunteerism programs could have discussed his plans for refuges, Kuwait, the Kurds. However, since it is becoming aparent that Senator Obama is not a detail guy, I guess he plans to leave Iraq to his advisors.
