RFO (Republicans for Obama)

01aradio.pngBy popular demand, today on Mid Stream Radio (at 1 pm eastern 10 am pacific) we will be talking to John Martin of Republicans for Obama. We’ll try to get essentially the same set of questions answered that we put to Silverio Salazar. (A Democrat who is voting for John McCain.) We’ll examine the other side of the coin and what might be driving some traditional Republicans to switch sides and vote for Senator Obama this year. You can tune in at the link above to listen or join in the web chat and pose questions and comments of your own. Or, you can call in at (646) 595-3963 and we’ll try to take some of your calls. (Remember, if you want to participate in the chat, you’ll need to register for a BTR account (it’s free!) and grab a nickname at the BTR Homepage, if you’ve not done so already.

If any of this looks incoherent or you don’t see me posting much today, I woke up this morning to discover that I had scratched a cornea. So now I’m wearing an eye-patch and doing my best pirate imitation.

  2. GeorgeSorwell says:

Um, that was a pirate imitation.

I'm actually looking forward to this interview. I hope you'll post a transcript later on.

  3. Silhouette says:

It would not be an exaggeration to say that nearly all republicans are for Obama, one way or another… ; )

  4. Jazz says:

There will be a transcript posted as soon as I can manage. I'm finding the lack of depth percpetion challenging for typing today, so I'm a bit slow. Just a warning.

  5. Kathryn says:

Hope you feel bettter soon Jazz. Thanks for setting this up, I look forward reading it.

  6. DLS says:

Silhouette, are you really still that resentful? Are you angry that Hillary went through the motions and said the dreaded words, not “No McCain” but “Obama … yes”?

Obama is a liberal Democrat and hardly the first choice of most Republicans and Republican-leaning voters. He _is_ a legitimate protest vote or _no-confidence_ vote against McCain or the GOP (the latter in particular an extension of 2006 election decision of numerous GOP voters) and probably attractive to many RINOs.

  7. Silhouette says:

“Resentful, angry”…any other adjectives for now?

When you're done trying to fend off the reality of how inherantly poor of a candidate Obama is by smear tactics, let me know.

Tell me, does the Sinclair story make you “resentful”….”angry”…?

It will….Then it will be my turn to start coming up with nasty adjectives to describe your angst, based in reality.
