OK DLS, I may have been off on putting you in the 'end of the world' crowd. Democrats make mistakes but unlike wingnuts we own up to them when they happens. I've edited out the “like DLS” part of my comment.

Now let's try to get back to the “the other silliness” in my post… Are you referring to:

a) The silliness of your prediction of vicious Democrats at the convention last night?

OR

b) The silliness of your constant inference that you know more about Democrats than democrats?

OR

c) The silliness that Hillary was talking to the Democratic base and SHE NAILED IT.

OR

d) The silliness that it's just about time for the right – wingers to start worrying?

OR

Were you (DSL) just talking about the silliness of how all questions that don't further you prejudice and/or position are just plain “Silly”?

I guess after the vote it's time to try to get Obama elected. Roll up your sleeves…it's gonna be a hellof a barn to raise.

It seems she remembered she's actually in favor of the policies Sen. Clinton supports, so she's going to try to get Obama elected.

And yet for her trouble, she's being bashed by Obama supporters.

I'll skip the other silliness and just correct this. Not only is this a mischaracterization (particuarly when I'm the one who says the apocalypse crowd is actually small and the rest of us don't believe 'YOU WILL BE TAXED INTO OBLIVION', something I've noted more than once; for shame!), it is confused with Superdestroyer's prediction of the end of the GOP.

I wanted her to get more lively and loud and bash McCain in more detail. Yes, the “Shrillary” shouting level at one or more points that should have brought the crowd to its feet.

I wanted her to elaborate on why her voters should vote for Obama (the positives).

I wanted her to provide a substantial criticism of McCain transitioning to a deep appeal to vote for Obama as well as vote Democratic, the theme and logical script for this convention, set up to end on the highest of high notes prior to Obama's Nuremberg Night spectacle.

Her speech last night let Obama and the party down, not just the (aware) audience.

The question it raises is, does this or doesn't this put additional pressure on Obama to do better or is it okay because it hasn't raised expectations even more?

Would you give it a rest Sil? They wouldn't say ANYTHING because she wouldn't be expected to attend… If she had she would have broken precedent.

Grow up and the world isn't always going to be like you want it to and you're just making a fool out of yourself.

The Bushies will tell us what a terrible speech it was BUT that's because they all think she was talking to them!.. She wasn't, she was talking to the Democratic base and SHE NAILED IT.

It's just about time for the right – wingers here to start worrying… Especially those who have been predicting a “end of the world” scenario if the Democrats win.

News Flash: Democrats will: 1) re-take the White House; 2) gain ten to twenty seats in the House of Representatives; and, 3) gain a veto proof majority in the Senate.

Her speech was lousy. It was wooden (or drone-like) at times, was too long, was obviously self-serving, and by the end was drawing laughter and begging for the Hook.

Tonight's presentations had better be much better than that, to say the least.

Even still, we know what would be said if Clinton didn't attend such a high profile speech aimed at unifying Obama's supporters with him being the “losing” primary candidate:

I wonder what would be said if Hillary watched from a home in Arkansas somewhere instead of attended his speech on Thursday. As it is, the Obamabots and their press talking heads are about to have anurisms because a couple of her finance people won't attend Obama's speech.

Heaven forbid if Hillary didn't.

Bottom line: Obama professes unity but did absolutely nothing to bring it about.

Hillary professes unity in spite of what she knows is best for the party and she did everything humanly possible considering…

I've always said I wanted a candidate who delivered and didn't just deliver empty words..

…..he was nowhere around. No VP pick, no solicitation of her advice on said, and no appearance at her speech supporting him and unity.

So much for the professed vs actual stances on unity.

Proof is in the pudding, and pudding gave a great speech tonight, even if the man she promoted was nowhere in sight…
