If Romney has so much "economic expertise", like you said, then why didn't he use that to help Massachusetts? Why did he start Romney-Care, which has wreaked havoc on the Massachusetts economy? If he's truly a strong conservative, why did he implement $50 tax-payer subsidized abortions, as part of his Romney-Care, AFTER his so-called pro-life conversion? The truth is, he's a Venture Capitalist who would just as soon outsource your job overseas, as he would comb his great hair or admire his fine jaw-line in the mirror, who tried to buy political power; but, there are many of us who are not fooled and are making sure that our party does not drink the kool-aid.

He would be a disaster in a debate with Joe Biden! Gov. Mike Huckabee was the guy who won all of the debates. Mike KNOWS debating!

Romney is McCain's strongest choice for VP. Romney had more delegates than Huckabee even though he dropped out of the race much earlier! A hefty bank account hasn’t stopped Dems from embracing Kerry, Edwards, and the Kennedy's – among others. Voters care about a candidate’s capability and concern for them more than about the size of their wallet. Romney, though not perfect, will best match up against Biden in debates and in leadership experience, and will deliver Colorado and Nevada – perhaps even Michigan. The fact that he is not a Washington insider is a definite plus! Romney's comments about McCain aren't nearly as damaging as the comments Hillary and Biden made about Obama. Perhaps most importantly, no one on either ticket has the much needed economic expertise that Romney has. As for Romney's religion, anyone who would use that as a reason to exclude him from serious consideration for VP is a bigot. I hope McCain will rally the conservative base and choose Romney. If he goes with Lieberman, I'll vote for the most conservative candidate on the ballot (won't be McCain) and wait until 2012 when the country will be crying out for a true economic and social conservative.

Romney is a great choice for VP. I can't believe that the reason why the author doesn't feel Romney should be the choice is because he is in favor of Republican values. It's not about perception. It's about integrity and Romney is as clean as the day is long. He will also bring a huge amount of votes to McCain. Romney will balance the budget. Get rid of illegals and put some sence into the Republican party. Remember, Romney doesn't need anyones money and can't be bought.

I'll give you a good reason why McCain definitely shouldn't pick Romney (if you're a Republican) or definitely should (if you're a Democrat).

1. The vice presidential debate.

Biden would totally crush the little wind-up toy that is Mitt Romney. I saw Romney during the primary debates, and he looked so stiff and plasticky. Remember, Biden is the guy who came up with "noun, verb, 9/11" to describe Rudy. If you're John McCain, or the RNC, you don't want Romney. If you're Obama, or Biden, or the DNC, you're hitting your knees at night, praying that McCain chooses Romney.

Romney as McCain's VP will GIVE Obama/Biden EVERY LGBT and Pro-Choice Republican and Independant Romney LIED TO.. Biden choce made Mittler McCain's ONLY choice for VP, Pawlenty would be chewed up and spit out by Biden, and McCain can't split his base with Pro-Choice Ridge or Lieberman.

The Heritage Foundation estimated the 2007 Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill would have cost the Social Security Administration $2.5 trillion as it is currently written. NOTE: With 12 million illegals given amnesty. The problem with a political party in the middle of a death spiral is that there are no good choices. The incomptence and stupidity of the Bush Administration and the Republicans in Congress have tainted every Repubilcans politicians. Thus, the crowd of clowns who ran for the Republican nomination and the nomination of someone who is clearly unfit to the President. The other effect is that there is no one to run for office. To think that the Republicans thought about someone who had been a governor for six months because everyone other Repubicans has zero credibility demonstrates the lack of talent in the Republican Party.
