It's premature to speak of a new Cold War, though Bruno, the Bear is definitely back to making mischief of all kinds. The paranoia and xenophobia (as opposed to the fake charges made of those things toward immigration reform proponents in the USA, most of the public) are there, and the resentment at the humiliation of Russia. What humiliation, absolute or relative? Resentment at not being able to bully other nations at will and expect others to do Russia's bidding at all times? (You know, a more real version of charges often hurled at the USA and especially at the Bush administration.)
