US First: Take Guns To School & Church
A blog in Wall Street Journal has interesting subheadings: “Take your gun to school” and “Praise the Lord and Pass the Ammunition!”
It reports that the trustees of the Harrold Independent School District, a tiny Texas school district, may be the first in the US to allow teachers and staff to pack guns for protection. More here…

If your school is that bad, you need a SWAT team, 24/7, not teachers with guns.
I remember when I was in High School in the late 70's, one of my best friends would get on the bus each day with his target rifle (and ammo), as we had a shooting team and range.
After we had our drivers licenses, we would also on occasion bring our shotguns, pistols and rifles to use at the school's shooting range after class, and then maybe head out to the boonies for a little unstructured fun-with-guns.
We would all be convicted felons today. And miraculously, no one ever shot anyone. Maybe because we we not treated like infants, and also because the US was not completely run by scared, nanny-state bureaucrats yet.

So if some wacko does show up at the school, starts shooting kids, you are okay with him having 30 minutes before anyone could show up to stop him?
