Violence and Negativity are not the way
by Jordan Cooper
We are not exploitations of supernatural powers, but we are manifestations of the most perfect hands of mankind; credit due to our Creator. So, we are not magic. Unless you’re a member of an NBA team in Orlando or Washington DC, and a character out of a Harry Potter book; magic doesn’t describe you. Yet, our doings are spectacular in our own way and they are all due to God. Therefore, we better be thankful for how he has changed our lives from simply clay to determined people of action.
Violence is tormenting our schools, churches, businesses, and neighborhoods. Some of the culprits are immigrants or first generation children of them, but statistics say Americans who have been here for more than one generation are damaging more people than they do. Therefore, people would think that those who have been America longer will be more accultured to living in amicability in America, but that is apparently false based on statistics. Some of the perpetrators are police and black lives matters’ supporters would argue that. Albeit, studies from Washington State University say police are three times less likely to shoot blacks compared to whites. This is because blacks shot by the police are woodenly covered in the media. Also, blacks shot by the police are only one tenth of one percent of black violent deaths. Blacks are killed more by suicide, gang-related violence, and drug-related violence in terms of violent crimes. We all need to respect when the most high calls us to leave this earth in a bodily sense and we need not promote anything that bedims the intellect of our people. We as Americans need to understand that how often something is in the media doesn’t necessarily correlate with a vast problem.
Our country was not built on erratic emotions; it was made on cagey conscience. Hence, we need to transform our mindset within our country to always be people of positivity and probity. Negativity must never be the response and there must never be a lack of facts. Our reliance on genuineness in how we function in our lives will reflect the faith we have, which will inspirit others. Our dyed-in-wool positivity will bring good things from all happenings in life.
