Any thing out of order in the air is to be deemed an emergency situation IMO- you're essentially in a big metal tube defying the laws of gravity and hoping that thousands of parts that are supposed to work together, will. Given the amount of flight time these jets are undergoing, it wouldn't surprise me to hear that one (or both) would experience some mechanical issues.<br><br>Is the media now going to debate how unnecessary dispatching emergency equipment is in such a situation?
