Inverted “logic” is commonplace with them, but more to the point here, it may just be a spot of softness for a favorite old friend and adversary of the USA and the West.

The BBC and the Guardian (“al-Guardian”) are notorious in their biased Middle Eastern reporting, separately from whatever you find to be simply inaccurate.

And tonight on ABC News a reporter named Clarissa Ward was stopped outside Gori by Soviet tanks guarded by "South Ossetian militiamen who started firing over Ward's head.

I guess that "one reporter's perception" was much more accurate than the BBC's tendentious nonsense about the Georgian government's inaccuracy about no Russian troops there. Ward was told by one neo-Soviet Russian that they would be in Gori "for the rest of thy year."

It is patently ridiculous for the left to point fingers at the victim and blame Georgia for "inciting aggression."

They were reporting one reporter's perception, Dave, from where he was sitting. They have more than one reporter in Georgia. Do you imagine that everyone's perspective on the ground is going to be the same?

There's not only one narrative here. The story will vary depending on who you talk to. It will all be a lot clearer in a week or two, but people who are in the midst are going to see things differently. I thought it was odd myself—-yesterday a different BBC reporter, Luke Harding, reported looting, etc.

The BBC is beneath contempt on situations like this. How does the Guardian's reporting that "Local residents reported feeling safe and secure on Wednesday night, our correspondent says, as the presence of Russian troops in Gori kept looters off the streets." square with the BBC counterfactual disinformation that "Georgia made all kinds of claims that Russia was invading, including a statement that Russian troops had taken over the town of Gori which proved not to be so".?

Not even the two most leftish MSM outlets in the UK can get their stories straight. Let's see if the Putin-pals on this thread can square that circle.
