That There’s a BLACK DUDE!

obama10207_narrowweb__300x387_0.jpg

Last time I checked, a black dude is trying to become the President of the United States of America. And if my memory serves me well, that black dude is married to a black gal. Just like the picture above! Wow. That there’s a black dude!

Looky there. I mean they’re a smart looking black couple, eh? She’s very pretty with a nice dress on and the black dude looks right spiffy in his black suit…

What’s that honey? (Wife talking to me…)

GOODNESS GRACIOUS ON A STICK! They have two black kids! Black + Black = Black! Wondrous…..

What’s that babe? (Wife talking to me again…)

Well yes I know he’s running against a white dude. Him and his wife are in the picture below (sheesh):

CindyMcCain_JohnMcCain.jpg

Very handsome white couple there. So what’s all this ruckus about who said they were black but not really said it but because he said he was black (maybe said it and looks black to boot) and said he may be called scary by someone who said that your a race card or throwing race cards (gosh darn it), playing race cards but we all know he’s a black dude and he’s running against a white dude, that happens to be an older white dude (can I say “older”?), but nevertheless is a white dude and everyone is upset that black and white is being talked about when it’s obvious we all don’t look the same, or eat the same, or smile the same, etc?

I absolutely need the Absolut now…

Forget the racial comparisons. No one is biting that tired, bare hook anymore. Let's see if you can pick out the one person of the four who looks gay. Gender-orientation will be the new "racial" issue post-Denver.

My kids often tease me about my gay-dar being inoperable, but with these photos it came instantly into function mode.

Why is it that the gay left is staying so silent about this? I thought coming out of the closet is the thing to do? Or is it just the thing to do UNLESS you are running for president?

    Double standards....

McCain's wife just looks scary! There is something about her eyes that sends a shiver down my spine.

Michelle looks almost as stunning as Barack, but he's definitely the diva in that photo.

McCain just looks like he won the election...

Devil's advocate folks. The GOP with that picture and the Sinclair story, Barack is finished. It should't be that way, but reality has a funny way of intruding on our wishful utopian ideals.

Obamabots should be very careful which photos of their stunning, flawless, impeccably-groomed and suited, delicately-manicured, heroin-chic diva they allow the public to see. Put some carharts and some weight on that man and give him a scar or something. A moustache? No, on second thought he'd probably have that sucker trimmed so thin and perfect...it would be reflexive..

    ...*sigh*
  • elrod
Are you ever going to give it up with that Larry Sinclair BS? The guy has already been looked into and has been proven to be a mentally insane liar.
  • JSpencer
Good lord Sil, either prove this to be more than fictional BS or give it a rest already. We all know you're bitter about Hillary not being the candidate, but it's time to drag your foot out of that mudhole (even if you have to leave your boot behind) and move forward.
  • D. E.Rodriguez
Two great pictures of two goodlooking couples.

But, wait...What's that on the backdrop behind Barack and Michelle?

    "Fox?" How treacherous of Barack...

And , look, McCain is not wearing an American flag lapel pin!

    How treasonous of McCain!

What a pity that our political commentary has taken such a turn
  • I wish you people would stop trying to blow Sil's cover and ruin the story! Don't you know that only we here at TMV are in on the dark awful secrets of Larry Sinclair? The MSM has never even heard of the guy. Our very lives are in danger for even talking about it! The fact that he's been kept such an extraordinary secret all this time, without the MSM catching a whiff of it, is a credit and tribute to the near perfect security and preparations of the Vast Right Wing Noise Machine Conspiracy X-Files Project. (VRWNMCXFP)

And when they finally do hear about it a few days afer the convention, the current odds are that Sinclair will actually eclipse Hillary as well and emerge as the Dem. nominee!
  • JSpencer
Shoot, I should have known this had an X-Files connection. Anyone who has a little time to waste can find what the Sinclair bizz is about here:

    http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0608/11164...

I'm sure the story will hold a certain appeal for those motivated by, ahh... less demanding sensibilities.

And yes, those are both really nice pics.

Many of us object to the worst parts of affirmative action and other forms of reverse racism, which has included the dippier, and hypocritical, PC "reverse racism is hip" nonsense we have seen among _white_ "progressive" [sic] supporters of Obama. That has nothing to do with how we view Obama as a candidate and as an individual, which is done with less political slant and taint by us than by lefties.

Fox: Once more he is engaging in "outreach." Let the worst extremist lefties go.

(Fox is simply less liberal than the other news sources, which stands out boldly.)
  • DLS
Maybe once they're in the White House they can invite some Roosevelts to dinner.
  • Silhouette
I told you, I'm the devil's advocate. That picture with the pinkish-red backdrop and him looking so spiffy.. and I quote, "spiffy" from the article itself.. *double-sigh* The picture of McCain and wife in nearly sepia, like the old west photos you see?

Nothing? You don't think the artistry of the two photos side by side means to compare how effete Obama looks compared to the "traditional man" McCain? OK, I guess I'm the only being in the universe that believes subliminal messages can be delivered this way.. *triple sigh*

OK, fair enough, don't believe me. Just show the picture to one of your gay friends, or if you are gay, just be candid and open. Then report back with your honest and accurate assessment of whether or not the photo makes Obama look gay.

Be honest now. Wishful thinking will get you nowhere when the GOP opens fire.
  • WOW! My little comedy bit gets turned into "No Quarter" talking points by Sil (yucky icky). Look good folks, I see a white dude and black dude running for President. No more, no less. This is the land of the free, home of the brave. Lady Liberty! The Melting Pot or Salad Bowl. C'mon adults. How is anyone letting "race" out the bag when the two men running for president don't have bags on their faces?

And DLS, that photo was taken in 2005:

    http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/obama-about-to...
  • DLS
Ah, that thermal viewer. Which is it today, white hot or black hot? [grin]

"how effete Obama looks compared to the 'traditional man' McCain?"

He looks metrosexual. Do you realize that appeals to the young as well as to many women? As for us ordinary guys, he's almost criminally thin; we're green not with environmentalist leanings but with envy. "Rolled armor," "insulation," call it what I want, there's too much of it around my waistline, particularly when I'm sitting, and I'm glad the guy can stay in great shape. And he's a Pretty Boy, too. The under-45s and particularly the under-30s are probably owned by him this year.
  • And Sil, I honestly just posted two photos (no conspiracies my good X-Filer). Are you that damn dense to miss everything I was trying to convey (along with some humor)? Has politics made you so... so... so... WEIRD?!?!?
  • DLS
T-Steel: We've been "ready" [tm] for a black or female president for ages.

    This is probably the year.

It's a nice photo of the Obamas. Michelle in that photo reminds me of the librarian at the bookstore in Detroit I've visited numerous times (sentence left deliberately ambiguous). Psst -- she's ... _black_.
  • StockBoySF
Sil, and what, exactly are gay people supposed to look like? I don't appreciate your stereotyping gay people- it's borderline gay bashing when you separate them from everyone else. Just like it's borderline bashing when anyone starts separating folks based on stereotypes.

Furthermore whether one is in the closet or not is none of your business. Do you tell everyone you meet that you are straight or gay or bi (or whatever you are)? Or if you are straight, do you just assume that everyone knows you're straight?

    Stop with your nonsense.
  • DOES ANYONE ELSE HERE JUST SEE THE OBAMAS POSING TOGETHER AND NOT METROSEXUAL, EFFETE CONSPIRACIES???

Gag me with a spoon! (when a black guy such as myself uses Valley Girl talk, the apocalypse is nigh).
  • T-Steel I totally got where you were going, and I apologize for helping to derail your thread. :-(

It's just that sometimes the hypocricy of some of these people get under my skin. I mean, there were complaints (some valid) from Hillary supporters that the Obama campaign and their backers were misogynistic in their attacks on Ms. Clinton. Fair enough. But if you're going to make those charges, it's very odd to see comments like:

Michelle looks almost as stunning as Barack, but he's definitely the diva in that photo.

So calling Barack Obama a "diva" isn't offensive, is it? Oh, nooooo. Perish the thought! Sil isn't a homophobe... of course not! He LOVES gay people but is just wringing his hands in concern over the poor Democrats who will lose the election because of all those OTHER homophobes out there when they "find out Obama is gay" on the word of such a sterling citizen as Sinclair.

They hypocritical attitude of the Hillary supporters on this Sinclair thing is jaw dropping. And, for the few chattering about this who haven't gotten the memo yet, the media has already vetted Sinclair from hell to breakfast and found no meat on the bone. No announcement about it in September by the Republicans, even if they were foolish enough to try it, is going to see the light of day in the media nor bring more than a collective yawn from the voters who will see yet another tabloid story.

I understand how desperately they want to find a wedge to push some superdelegates over to Hillary before the convention, but this has got to be the saddest "strategy" in the history of politics. You'd do better pushing the "whitey tape" again.
  • JSpencer
FWIW, I see a very (obviously photogenic) good-looking, well-dressed husband and wife - who look happy - and I would add: enviable in their poise. Period. Call me a victim of the obvious.
  • DLS
T-Steel: I was just responding to Sil's remark. Obama looks "hip"; is that better? Who knows what the response will be if he appears on the "high-cognitive" Charlie Rose show.
  • DLS
"what, exactly are gay people supposed to look like?"

If he wants an education, let him go to west-side DC (Washington, DC, metro) where at my friend and my favorite Thai resturant there and if we watch everyone walk by, we'll see all shapes, sizes, colors, whatever. (My friend is involved in the GBLT community there as one of her activist interests along with, for example, animal rescue and supporting PETA.) That includes all kinds of politics; I joked with many of her conservative gay friends at get-togethers early after 2000 (before the Iraq occupation setbacks provided any legitimate excuses) about how stupid and predictable so much Bush-bashing was, along with the Reaganesque hatred.
  • DLS
That's it. We deserve an unscripted, table-top "job interview" debate between McCain and Obama on the Charlie Rose show with Rose as the interviewer.
  • Silhouette
Gay bashing eh? Yep. If the truth gets too close, move on it. I told you, my kids make fun of me because my gaydar is not too good. In other words I look at the people instead of their shell. Where did my kids get their gaydar? Well, my daughter got it from the highschool she attended where her gay and lesbian friends used to taunt her for not being able to spot a gay or lesbian on-the-spot. In fact, her gay friends used to brag of their ability to spot another gay across the room at a glance. So if you want to brush up on the nuances of "gay-dar", don't ask me, ask someone who is gay.

And I've been teased by my bi-friends about not being able to spot homosexuals. They go into great detail about "lipstick lesbians" and "bulldykes", "masculine male gay traits" vs their "girl" friends..

    Etc.

These are terms that up until just a couple of years ago, before I moved to an area where there are a lot of gays, I had no clue about. I'm borrowing the vernacular.

And from the description my gay friends have given me, Obama would be setting off alarm bells in nearly every social gathering in San Franscisco. Again, according to them.
  • I definitely agree on McCain's wife. It's just something about her eyes that make her look...indefinably creepy. It's not something I can define easily, or really at all. She's just...a bit spooky.
  • DLS
Obama could have fun with this McCain photo. "She wants taxes lowered."
  • Neocon
    Sil IS LARRY SINCLAIR.
  • StockBoySF
T_Steel: I love the background in Obama's photo: the marriage of Fox and the NAACP.
  • Ricorun
Sil: I told you, my kids make fun of me because my gaydar is not too good.

I may be presumptive here, but I'm guessing it's more than your faulty "gaydar".
