It's barrel scraping and no surprise, either.

Not that McCain isn't bad. He's bad. He now says that his negative ads against Obama are “because [McCain] puts his country first.”

Just to bait the most childish out there, McCain should show him with Americana scenes in the next ad, to the tune of “America” — sung by Ray Charles.

Naw, that's not the best they can do. That's one blogger on a site of many, that is half devoted to gossip mongering. It's a little silly, of course but it does at least say something about the recycled "Obama is an elitist" meme the McCain camp has been peddling. But no, it's certainly not the best liberal bloggers can do, and why most of the blogosphere has basically ignored it or at most, put it in the context of IOKIYAR (it's OK if you're a Republican).

So no, "shoes" is not the best. In fact, it's at about the same level as McCain's campaign ads these days (remember, he is an actual candidate, not just some HuffPo blogger).
