They did the reader responses a few days later and the reader asked what liberal source gave this stat and the answer was the NRA. <br><br>Home gun ownership in a family has always seemed a catch-22 to me. The only way to keep a gun truly safe so that there is an extremely low risk of a home accident is to keep the gun in such a place (unloaded, in a safe, etc.) that it takes too much time to have it ready when an intruder does show up. Maybe if the safe is RIGHT next to the bed, you could get it open and the weapon ready in time to be effective.
