I agree. His outing of Valerie Plame was done as a surrogate of the administration and of the RNC--he's hardly a patriot.

Even so, I cannot wish him harm- so best of luck to him.

I despise Novak. He's a smarmy unquestioning supporter of the current corruption in the White House. And that having been said I most definitely wish him the best of luck in fighting this illness. I just won't wish this on anyone because of political disagreements.

My sympathies go out to Novak, too. I suppose the brain tumor might explain his behavior behind the wheel and perhaps his recent erratic columns... There were a few comments on here last week by several posters (including myself) who were beginning to question the quality of his columns. Since then I have talked with a couple conservative friends (the only conservatives is San Francisco, it seems) and they too were wondering what was going on with Novak's columns.

Perhaps all politicians (or maybe just those running for national office), or perhaps those over a certain age (65? 70?) should have a CAT scan (or whatever is used these days) to check for brain tumors. These don't just appear overnight and it seems that most folks easily dismiss mild symptoms until something *big* happens, like being involved in an auto accident or having convulsions.... If these tumors are identified sooner than the treatment and recovery options are better for the patients. We should learn from Kennedy's and Novak's experience.

I may not agree with Novak but he has my best wishes.

I have no fondness for Novak as political pundit, but cancer knows no political/ideological boundaries and is never good news. I guess the investigation into the hit and run accident is looking into whether Novak blacked out behind the wheel? That could almost jive Novak's account of being unaware he hit someone that was, according to at least 1 witness, splayed across his windshield.
