I think many Americans, including myself, are sympathetic towards the rights of Americans to keep a gun in their own home, including D.C. where the recent case was. After all, if there is a right to private gun ownership, this must include the home or there is no right at all. But the general American is going to have far less sympathy packing guns through international airports at a time when we are supposed to be fighting terrorism. Security questions people in airports for praying in the wrong way or wearing a scary t-shirt, but we're going to now encourage that everyone brings weapons? If <a href="http://GeorgiaPacking.org">GeorgiaPacking.org</a> wants to spend their time with a majority of Americans fighting them politically and relying on the courts to protect minority rights, then they should keep moving in this direction. If they want people to be generally divided or perhaps support them a bit, plus having the courts on their side, then they should choose their battles more carefully.
