The last thing McCain needs to do is to choose any Northeastern Should-Be-Dem Republican or any other so-called “moderate” or “centrist” (liberal) GOP politician, especially one who has been a fixture in Washington. The same would be true for choosing anyone else with a similar reputation such as Swarzenegger from CA.

Christie Todd Whitman??????

Christie "The air is fine to breathe around Ground Zero" Whitman?????

Please, she is one of the most disliked people in the Tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) area. She left NJ in a state of near bankruptcy due to her tax cuts and borrowing (I know, I know thats typical for Republicans, but she did a really awful job). She then went to the EPA where she repeatedly ignored the scientist and experts on many EPA's rulings during her tenure, she went against policies she had agreed to when she was Governor, she totally demoralized the agency and endangered the health of the many people who work and live around Ground Zero with her "The air is fine to breathe" statement. She is a female version of Bush, with no achievements to her name other than her wealth and her last name. Her one difference from Bush is that she can at least speak the English language.
