You know when I first saw the bisexual scandal stuff on Obama I scoffed at it too. For weeks I refused to even discuss it at another website I post at. Then curiosity got the better of me I suppose and I watched the youtube stuff and read the account in The Free Press of the suspected murder of Obama's alleged male lovers, the choir director of Obama's church was one. It happened just after the guy made noise about exposing Obama's bisexuality...according to accounts. Christmas 2007.

It's not just one guy saying he had relations with Obama. It's like three or four of them and I think three of the four or two of the four (I can't remember which) were murdered or died suspiciously just after or just before they insinuated they were going to spill the beans on Obama.

Runs in my mind two of the dead men are from Obama's church.

Now if this was one guy, one incident, it would be hard to believe. But it isn't, there are multiple reports and they all spell that Obama is bisexual.

Again, it isn't an issue for me...suspicious deaths are. But if the GOP has this stuff in any compelling form at all..even insinuation of it...Obama is screwed. Any middle voters he may have now will drop him like a red hot potato. You may not take the video and polygraph stuff seriously but millions may....especially if it's pitched at just the right time in just the right way..

rifrif - Rowe vs Wade is NOT settled Law. A republican like McCain will face enormous pressure on this issue. McCain's Supreme Court nominees will not be as far right as Scalia but I'm sure they will be vetted sufficently that regardless of what they tell Congress during the nominations they will have assured the "base" that they will outlaw R v W. Furthermore, Executive Orders under the Unitary Executive theory that Bush installed will mean all sorts of new impediments to abortion can be implemented thru the FDA etc.

I think McCain is MUCH more of an unknown than Obama. McCain is still a Republcan and if you liked the last 8 years you really will get more of the same.

Silhouette - I would take your position much more seriously if you did not espouse those ridiculous rumors about Larry Sinclair, the Birth Certificate, the whitey tape etc. I have read No Quarter, Texas Darlin and the other sites and what I see is pure emotional hatred - not dislike, not unqualified but scurrilous commentary that is unworthy of the bandwidth it takes up.

I truely do not understand the venom I see on those sites. McCain called his wife a C... yet none of you are bothered by that. He has a violent temper and I'm sure many a woman has had her share of bad experiences with men with tempers. I would agree with some who believe a Democratic Congress would impede some of McCain's worst instincts BUT for one, CINC. McCain will blow up the Mideast in another war and nothing Congress can do can stop that.

"Funny how the day he got the nomination he rushed to the center isnt it?"

He's going after the swing voters, obviously.
I was a Clinton supporter and when she was forced out of the race by her own party I decided to become a McCain supporter . My decision was based on selecting the best candidate. As more time has passed, I am confident that I made the right choice. Mccain is now the best candidate. We are not selecting a preacher to give us sermons, we are electing a president of the free world. I do not agree with Senator McCain on many issues, but i AM A BELIEVER IN CHECKS AND BALLANCES....with a democratic congress, I am confident that democracy will work. Roe v Wade is settled law......70% of the population support a women's right to choose.....congress will block supreme court justices not in line with roe v wade. McCain crosses party lines to get things done. McCain Feingold, kennedy McCain.....are such examples. We know McCain.....we do not know Obama and he reminds me of the Emperor who wears no clothes. Narcissism is not an American quality.

Keep repeating the myth that Obama is a "liberal Democrat;" maybe someday it'll be true. But right now Obama's campaign positions have been centrist to a fault.

I think that the Democratic Party and progressives generally have gotten confused in getting trapped in this debate about are you liberal or are you centrist? I'm not interested in being a centrist or rushing to the middle, in the sense of just splitting the difference with a radically ideological Bush administration. And that’s how I think we got into trouble in many instances, was we just kept on splitting the difference until you find out you don't stand for anything, you just keep on compromising.

BARACK OBAMA, Tavis Smiley Show, Oct. 23, 2006

Funny how the day he got the nomination he rushed to the center isnt it?

"Keep repeating the myth that Obama is a 'liberal Democrat'"

Or that the earth is round, not flat? I'll do that as I feel moved to do it. Of course, Obama himself has described himself that way but you wouldn't and shouldn't believe Obama himself, either, should you? Or reviews of his voting records?

He's trying to appeal to centrists or moderates (more likely, to swing voters) because he's not stupid enough to neglect them; his campaign, fluffy sound bites and all, slick packaging and all, is for real.

"'This is a lie as well as slander.'

One gross over-simplification deserves another."

You were deliberately incorrect and hateful for no valid reason whatsoever.

Plenty of average people aren't going to necessarily robotically accept a liberal Democrat like Obama, and it doesn't have anything to do with his race, sex, sexual orientation, or any other excuse angry lefties can invent for not voting the "right" way.

That's why McCain may yet gain more swing voters as his "default candidate, the other choice" campaign continues to plod unremarkably along.

* * *

"Maybe because Obama's stated policy positions make more sense than McCain's?"

Not to everyone, obviously, especially those of us who have learned things as we have lived. The issue with McCain is if he really offers a good (positive) alternative at all and can appeal to more people than he would repel by being dull or Dem Lite. In addition to Obama's appeal to the naive and idealistic and quite often the unrealistic, there are possible wrong-headed plans of his and what happens if he is aided by great Dem gains in Congress and they view this is a signal to lunge far to the left, which would obviously make most Americans recoil? Might not some who think ahead already be "at risk" of recoiling now? Yes.

Plenty of average people aren't going to necessarily robotically accept a liberal Democrat like Obama, and it doesn't have anything to do with his race, sex, sexual orientation, or any other excuse angry lefties can invent for not voting the “right” way.

That's why McCain may yet gain more swing voters as his “default candidate, the other choice” campaign continues to plod unremarkably along.

* * *

“Maybe because Obama's stated policy positions make more sense than McCain's?”

Might not some who think ahead already be “at risk” of recoiling now? Yes.

Obama is a liberal Democrat who offers people sound bites. Why would all Americans necessarily trust him?

Maybe because Obama's stated policy positions make more sense than McCain's? I know it's fun to sit around and nitpick speaking styles and what the candidates ate for breakfast, but there are real policy differences between them.

Obama is a liberal Democrat who offers people sound bites. Why would all Americans necessarily trust him? Or instinctively, mindlessly, robotically, vote for him or be expected to vote for him just because he's younger, more attractive, and talks more fluidly than McCain?

"I believe Obama's big, long-term problem is Great Expectations."

Not with the debates, though, M. I suspect that just as he has "let down" [sniffle] the progressives so far on one or two policy issues, and his speech in Germany was not The Sermon some were expecting, he may or may not ace the debates (I'm certain he'll win). I suspect given the experience of Gore losing the debates and then the general election in 2000, the Democrats may have learned a lesson and no matter how laughably some of the Obama voters worship Obama, they may be patient and "follow through" all the way through November. No, to me the Great Expectations, particularly among those cult worshippers, are going to be for what Obama and the Dems "should" do beginning next January. (Being far too ambitious, arrogant, and conceited is exactly the wrong them for them to do; this nation is not far left! They shouldn't misread anti-GOP sentiment for a desire to be regressive when it comes to liberal politics and policies.) The Great Expectations are for Obama and the Dems to perform miracles from the start of the new Obama administration. Where is the elimination of "greenhouse gases" while guaranteeing everyone but the Evil Rich a 200% increase in net after-tax income, with stem-cell organ regeneration by next March or April, etc.?

I do find a lot of logic in Sils analysis of Why some Clinton supporters will not vote for Obama.

Just like there are many Conservatives who do not like McCain and might not vote for him. The interesting thing is that you do not find those who are avid McCain supporters calling the conservatives "Idiots, morons and traitors" like the left/Obama crowd is doing with their Clinton supporters.

Nor is there a movement to call those moderate GOP'ers who are indicating they are going to vote for Obama being ostracized by the GOP and the Republican party as pariahs.

Meanwhile back at the ranch......anyone who does not support Barak Obama are lower then pond scum.

Great tactic to bring into the fold those who have hesitated in embracing Obama.
